So, John McCain lost the presidential election. We all saw it coming. He ran a horrible campaign, could not raise enough money, and the next decent idea he comes up with will be his first. But, please, do not try to pin all of your shortcomings on Sarah Palin.

Let me first state I am a conservative. Maybe not a Republican at any cost, but I am pretty conservative. This is a difference. So with that said, here are a few pointers on why Johnny boy lost this.

  1. Taxing medical benefits – Are you kidding me? This is your “save the health care system” pitch? To tax current medical on our paychecks, but then try to spoon feed us some worthless $5,000 credit? This is a joke. Where I work, with about 100 people, all of their paychecks would have gone down. Because, these hourly workers do not have the time, nor the means, to start looking nationwide for insurance. They will just end up with their taxes being raised and taking home less pay.
  2. Buying up all of the foreclosure mortgages – And I thought you were for small government? So, let me get this straight. All of the hard working families, that sent the wife out to work as a waitress at night, while the husband was still working during the day, get no rewards for this. Heck, if they would have known Johnny was going to just bail everyone out they could have just kept spending their money, and fallen into  a deeper hole. John, get with the program. You should have said: “People made bad, bad choices, just like the lenders, and now they (both parties) must pay for their choice.” And been done with it.
  3. Bailing out the rich folks on Wall Street – Uhhhh …. see above. Everyone of them should have gone bankrupt, and all of the execs who did this, if found to cooked any books to keep stock prices inflated, thrown in jail. But instead, we go offering them another golden parachute.
  4. Still trying to offer tax cuts – OK, I like to get a stimulus check in the mail. Don’t get me wrong, but enough with a tax cut, with money that goes no where. Especially if we are having to borrow it from another country to pay us.
  5. Allowing Fannie Mae to crumble – Enough about how you wrote to someone about this back in whatever year it was. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!!!!! It is not enough to just sit back and write about something. You must also take action. And none was.
  6. Enough about the POW – You can only drag this message so far. I respect the fact you actually made it through like 7 years of that. Probably no way I could have done that. But like I say to so many people who continue to live in the past: Turn the page! I am tired of hearing you have the “battle scars to prove it”. You are out dated with every message you had. And continuing to live in the past only proved it.

OK, so I only have time to come up with 6 good reasons you lost. And not one of them was Sarah Palin. If you check the ratings, she blew any convention ratings out of the water, any debate ratings out of the water, and even any SNL ratings out of the water. And just in case you did not see it, here it is below:

So, enough about Sarah, and look deep inside John. You had no message or direction for the country. This is why you lost.
