This is because people use reading skills not just in English class, but in all subjects. Even when we study history or science, we need good reading skills to comprehend and digest the information. Homeschooling parents need not confine reading lessons to English class. In fact, you can incorporate reading lessons into every subject area. It`s also very important to encourage children to read beyond what is required in their curriculum. Developing reading as a habit will do wonders for your child`s success in many areas of their studies.
