Mom Needs a Spa Getaway
Jun 9th, 2008 • Category: ParentingYou have to go through it to know what a world of difference a spa treatment can do to you. Once in a while you need to pamper yourself with some such luxury that leaves you feeling good and looking beautiful. May be the pace of life leaves with no time for an all-day spa treatment, but you can, and must take time out for at least a facial and a massage. A certificate to a spa is one of the most thoughtful gifts you can give to your mom on Mother’s Day or any other day for that matter. Let her know how much you care for her. She will never forget this experience, and you will get all the credit for it.
Getting a facial will leave you with a feeling of freshness that you just can’t duplicate at home. While a massage melts all your worldly cares away as you lay quietly listening to the soft music while the masseuse performs her magic on your body.
If you have never been to a spa before, here are a few things to know before you go. Before your massage, enjoy the hot tubs and saunas they offer to start relaxing. If you are getting a facial, here’s what to expect. Your face will be exfoliated and cleaned to make your skin softer.
If you can, get both the facial and massage. Not everyone is comfortable removing their clothes for their massage, the first time. But, the massage center will give you sheets and other items to cover your body. Remember, these are professionals you are working with, and they understand your concerns. Also remember to drink a lot of water before you go to your appointment so you will not dehydrate during your sauna time. It has an added bonus of helping your body in cleansing.
If you have any concerns whatsoever, feel free to talk to the people running the spa before the treatments begin so that you can set your mind at ease. Relax…Enjoy the fuss that the spa makes over you. You deserve it! I guarantee that you will feel happier and healthier than you have in a long time.
So what are you waiting for? Pick a day and get to it!
