A lot of parents are now beginning to realize the importance of providing their children with healthy, well-balanced diets. But as well as ensuring that they are eating the right kinds of foods they also know that caring for their child’s skin properly is important as well. This is why so many parents now prefer to use natural organic baby skin care products instead of the cheaper commercial ones.

A child’s skin is extremely sensitive and certainly, those who suffer from skin conditions such as eczema may find many commercial products can exacerbate their condition. But as well as causing more problems, these commercial products contain chemicals, additives and irritants, which can cause a child’s skin to dry out.

Some parents will prefer to buy natural organic skin care products that are ready made, but quite a few others prefer to make their own. The reason for this is that actually making them is a very simple task to do and just requires the ingredients to be mixed together.

However, although most can be mixed together quickly and easily there are some that may require cooking before they can be used. Yet one does not need to have any specific culinary skills in order to do this. Many homemade products that one can make for use on a babies skin cannot only be applied directly to the skin but also eaten by the child as well.

Most parents prefer to make their own skin care products as well because it can prove to be more cost effective. Plus once the product has been prepared as long as it is kept in a sealed container then it can be used for several months to come. Next, we take a look at some of the kinds of baby skin care products one can make at home using only natural organic ingredients.

If you would like to use a talcum powder on your baby to help prevent nappy rash then mix together a cup of arrowroot powder, a tablespoon of ground chamomile (dried) and a tablespoon of lavender (dried). The properties contained within this powder not only help to keep your child’s bum dry but also prevent bacteria from thriving on the child’s skin as well.

Another important product that many parents use on their child is a baby shampoo. Certainly there are plenty of baby ones available, but a few of these can be very harmful to a child’s skin. Instead, why not make your own by mixing together some fresh rosemary that has boiled in distilled water and then strained. To this, you then add some unscented baby oil and some drops of rosemary essential oil.

As well as the natural organic baby skin care products that we have mentioned above which you can make. There are plenty of others that you may want to consider making for yourself. A quick search of the internet and you will find plenty of different skin care product recipes that you can make using only natural organic ingredients.
