What is secular home schooling?

Secular home schooling is basically schooling left to the child’s interests based learning. These practices are supported by social community groups that have strong religious faith. They also want to to live in a closer bond with these children.

Getting the benefits of secular home schooling are easy

* Creating a strong bond with the child when they are growing up.

* It allows the child the choice to express his or her desires and aptitude for learning what he or she has the most interest in that area.

* Their traditional values and belief remain intact.

* They have safety and educational control.

Getting to know the disadvantages of secular home schooling.

* The fact that when you allow the child to choose what he or she wants to learn, he or she may end up with nothing. It is even more obvious if he or she do not enjoy reading or studying. This way he or she do not get the required knowledge to survive in the corporate world.

* Since the child are not able to deal with the outside world, he or she will lead into confinement in the community that is detrimental to the child’s growth within the society.

* If one child can’t get his or her own ways into their day-to-day activities, the child may lost something he or she wanted to do since childhood.

* Getting a secular home schooling education is not really have a real education with a diploma or college degree to prove to the real world that they are educated. It would be next to impossible to survive in this business world.

Although secular home schooling has many disadvantages than benefits that the child will realize them sooner or later. However, some parents still practice this form of education, I think the main reason is driven mainly by their beliefs and community group that they believe in.

Secular home schooling usually occured in many rural areas. Most families that take up such programs are not highly educated, but they have strong religious background. The reason why they are putting their children to such education is because they have their interests at heart by not exposing them to the outside world.

Getting in touch with nature is essential for us to grow mentally strong. We should never miss on that education is very important to us to understand the true value of life.
