Illinois Home School Requirements

Illinois homeschool education is not very regulated.  They only have one option for homeschooling, and there are  not many requirements for this option. The compulsory age
in the state of Illinois is between the ages of 7 and 17 years.

State Requirements For Homeschool Education

Option 1: Operate a homeschool.

  1. There are no testing, notice, record keeping, and qualification requirements.
  2. For subjects: Language arts, biological and physical science, math, social sciences, fine arts, health and physical development
  3. Attendance is generally 176 days, but not a requirement for homeschools.
